Problem

Every new notebook starts blank. Users must manually set up imports, connections, theme, and helper functions.

Solution

Create notebooks/_template.py — a marimo notebook that serves as the starting point for new notebooks. Pre-wired with:

Cell 1: Setup

import marimo as mo
import polars as pl
import altair as alt
from conf import connect
from nature import PALETTE, altair_theme

altair_theme()
con = connect.duckdb()

def q(sql):
    return con.execute(sql).pl()

Cell 2: Schema Explorer
