Wrap Nessie, Polaris, and S3 clients with auto-auth from env/config #73
Reference in New Issue
Block a user
Delete Branch "%!s()"
Deleting a branch is permanent. Although the deleted branch may continue to exist for a short time before it actually gets removed, it CANNOT be undone in most cases. Continue?
Problem
Nessie, Polaris, and S3 connections require manual HTTP setup with auth tokens, OAuth2 flows, and credential loading. Each notebook re-implements this.
Solution
Create thin client wrappers in
src/api/clients/that handle auth automatically:src/api/clients/nessie.pycfg.lake.nessie.catalog_urilist_refs(),get_content(ref, key),commit(),create_branch(),merge()src/api/clients/polaris.pycfg.lake.polaris.catalog_uriPOLARIS_ROOT_SECRET)list_catalogs(),create_catalog(),list_namespaces(),grant()src/api/clients/s3.py(or extend rustfs client)RUSTFS_ACCESS_KEY,RUSTFS_SECRET_KEYhttp://rustfs:9000list_buckets(),list_objects(bucket),get_object(),put_object()lakehouse,gitea,gitea-lfsFiles
