Severity: MEDIUM
Package:
aiohttp@3.14.1Fixed in:
3.14.2AIOHTTP is an asynchronous HTTP client/server framework for asyncio and Python. Prior to 3.14.2, the WebSocket client accepts and decompresses frames with the RSV1 bit set even when the permessage-deflate extension was not negotiated, allowing a malicious server to cause unexpected CPU and memory consumption. This issue is fixed in version 3.14.2.

aiohttp 3.14.1→3.14.3 (fix landed in 3.14.2). CVE-2026-59881 (WS client decompresses RSV1 frames without negotiated permessage-deflate): we run no aiohttp WebSocket clients against untrusted servers (aiohttp is storage-client only here); not reachable, fixed anyway.
Verification: bumped in commit
611a1d6(pyproject floor raised for the direct dep; transitive pins viauv lock -P; pkg-manifest regenerated). Full test suite green with the bumped packages installed: 14,023 passed / 1 skipped (serial proof run 26m45s, then the commit hook's parallel run 13m58s).tests/api(the JWT/crypto surface) 335 passed post-bump.
