Objective

New top-level zot namespace module consolidating Zotero integration.

Core functions

  • zot.sync.push(items, collection) — push bib items to Zotero with proper key validation, creator handling, journalArticle typing
  • zot.sync.pull() — pull from Zotero back to bib.sqlite
  • zot.fetch.pubmed(query) — PubMed E-utilities search + efetch
  • zot.fetch.snowball(seeds) — citation chasing via elink
  • zot.fetch.fulltext(items) — full-text PDF retrieval
  • zot.mesh.tag(items) — MeSH term tagging
  • zot.enrich.coi(items) — COI/funding detection
  • zot.enrich.entities(items) — manufacturer entity tagging

Architecture

  • src/zot/ skinny package, depends on bib + conf
  • CLI: stack zot sync, stack zot search, stack zot fetch
  • Replaces ad-hoc scripts in dev/scripts/
  • Separate PR/branch
